What we specialize in

More books. More moving pieces.
We keep your publishing operation moving.

Self-publishing involves vendors, revisions, files, deadlines, and uploads. When several books are moving forward at once, the workload multiplies.

You choose what to publish, set the budget, and approve the work. We coordinate the people, timelines, and next steps across your books, keeping everyone clear on what’s needed and when.

01 / PEOPLE

Find the right vendors

We source and vet writers, editors, formatters, designers, A+ creators, and narrators. We negotiate within your budget. You choose the vendor and approve the fee.

02 / PRODUCTION

Keep production moving

We track deadlines, follow up, pass along feedback, and coordinate revisions. We bring approvals and major decisions to you.

03 / ORGANIZATION

Keep the details together

We organize each title’s metadata, specifications, and publishing files. We also help with ISBN purchases, title registration, and recording your work through Protect My Work.

04 / PUBLISHING

Publish on Amazon and beyond

We handle agreed uploads on KDP and wide distribution through IngramSpark, PublishDrive, Draft2Digital, and StreetLib. We check files, settings, and listings, and follow up on submissions.

05 / AUDIO

Coordinate audiobooks

We prepare manuscripts for narration, coordinate narrator production, and handle agreed ACX uploads.

06 / HANDOFFS

Coordinate with your ads and review collection teams

We pass your book links, files, and publishing details to your chosen ads team and review collection team so they can begin their work.

We can also help implement your launch plan, including staggered releases and permafree Kindle strategies.

Meet your publishing partner

Hi, I’m Janine.

Founder of PubSquad

For more than six years, I’ve helped authors and publishers manage the work behind their books. Today, I lead a team that coordinates production, keeps track of the details, and brings decisions to you when your input is needed.

We’ve worked across different topics, formats, and publishing workflows. That experience helps us spot potential issues, talk through your options, and keep the next steps moving.

You bring the publishing plans.
We help you carry them through.

Discuss your pipeline ↗

Production vendor fees, ads management, and review services are separate. Your plan sets how many books we manage at once. As a book finishes production, its slot opens for the next title. This can happen several times within a month.

How production slots work

Each title uses one slot until all agreed formats are finished, approved, and ready to upload. Then your next title can enter production while we continue coordinating publishing and launch handoffs. Slots can be reused throughout the month.

Getting started

Let’s bring your pipeline together.

We’ll talk through your publishing plans and confirm fit and available capacity before you choose a tier.

01

Confirm your plan

Tell us which tier you’d like to begin with. We’ll send your official invoice.

02

Begin onboarding

Once payment is received, we’ll request your files, project details, and required account access.

03

Allow 7–10 days

We review files, assign project codes, and organize your books in the Drive folder you share with us.

04

Settle into the workflow

The first month focuses mainly on integration: organizing the pipeline, vendor communication, updates, and approvals.

Your questions, answered

Before we work together.

Can you work with the vendors I already use?

Yes. We can take over the follow-ups, feedback, and scheduling with your existing writers, editors, designers, formatters, and narrators.

Please keep us copied into any conversations you have with them directly, especially about deadlines or revisions. That helps us plan around the same information and avoid missed updates.

Does the 4-book plan mean four books per month?

It means we can manage up to four books in production at the same time. The 6-book plan allows up to six.

As one book finishes production, we can start the next. You may move through more than four or six books in a month, depending on vendor turnaround, revisions, and how complex each book is. Your payment is monthly.

What counts as one book?

One title counts as one book, even if we’re managing its Kindle, paperback, hardcover, and audiobook editions. A project with just Kindle and audio also counts as one book.

A translated edition counts as a separate book and uses its own production slot.

When does a production slot become available?

When every format we’ve agreed to manage for that title is finished, approved, and ready to upload.

For example, if Kindle is live but narration is still underway, the book keeps its slot. Once the remaining files are ready, we can start your next title. We still handle the agreed uploads, monitor submissions, and coordinate launch handoffs after that.

What costs are separate from the monthly retainer?

You pay the people creating your books separately. That includes your writer, editor, formatter, cover designer, A+ content creator, and narrator. We find and coordinate those vendors as part of your retainer. You approve who to hire and what to pay.

We prepare your manuscript for narration as part of the retainer. The narrator’s fee is separate. Ads management and review services are also paid separately to your chosen providers.

Can you help with ISBNs and protecting my work?

Yes. We help with ISBN purchases and registering your book details through Bowker for US publishers and Nielsen for UK publishers.

We can also help you record your work through Protect My Work and organize the resulting certificate. This creates a dated record of your work; it is separate from government copyright registration.

We handle the admin as part of your management service. ISBN purchases and Protect My Work fees are paid separately.

Do you edit and proofread the manuscript?

Your editor handles editing, proofreading, and fact-checking. Your formatter handles the interior layout and production files. We coordinate their work and follow up on corrections.

We also run an overall check using our AI-assisted workflow and review the publishing details, files, upload settings, previews, and live listings. This check can flag issues for your vendors to fix. It doesn’t replace a full editorial review. You approve the final files before upload.

What if we spot a small error during launch?

If we can safely fix it in the upload-ready file, we’ll handle it. For example, a small page-number or margin correction may be possible without asking the formatter to reopen the source file. Larger changes go back to the appropriate vendor.

We clearly label the corrected upload file. The editable source file won’t contain that direct fix, so we keep both versions. For a future major revision, your vendor will need to carry those corrections into the source file too.

What will you need from me?

Share your upcoming titles and priorities at least a month ahead when you can, including any preferences for each book. That gives us time to prepare briefs and line up vendors.

We’ll collect feedback requests and decisions in one document so you can review them together. Send us one set of revision notes, and approve files and vendor payments promptly so the next stage can begin.

Can I start another book when all my slots are full?

Ask us before adding the title. If we have capacity, we can arrange an extra production slot for a one-time fee covering that book’s production cycle.

We’ll confirm the fee with you before work starts. It is separate from your monthly retainer and does not become an additional monthly charge.
